International Norms For Funding Sustainable Economy
The success in implementing global sustainable development goals according to country-specific national priorities and the Paris climate agreement depends on the Amount, Quality, Use and Accountability (AQUA) of funds mobilized. In fact, good “AQUA” is a survival imperative for the economies, especially for the developing countries as they are overburdened by their national debt but require significant resources for post COVID economic revival. Moreover, the stability and long-term survival of all players in the national financial architecture, be they national development finance institutions, public or private banks or other intermediaries, are fully linked to AQUA.
Therefore, INFUSE Program aims to deliver common and universally-accepted framework, which is based on AQUA Principle, to:
- Source and use international and domestic funds for addressing each country’s unique national development priorities, breaking the vicious circle of debts and ensuring highest rate of social, financial, economic and environmental returns;
- Rate the effectiveness of the use of external and domestic funds for national development.
